How To Treat Whistling Sound Caused While Breathing Through The Nose?
My husband whistles constantly tuneless and half breathy..stops when realizes I am present but I can hear him in other rooms. He knows he does it because he stops if I am present but immediately resumes if he doesn t see me....I haven t told him I can hear him all the time from other rooms...really gets on my nerves. I unfortunately mocked him one time and it really made him mad...very sensitive. What would be most helpful to stop it ?
Hello madam, the whisting sound would be due to some form of obstruction inside your husband's nose. Multiple reasons like a growth which we call polyp, a dry crusted nose or a deviated nose bridge (deviated nasal septum)are a few among many. It could also be due to a hole in the nasal bridge(septum). A doctor preferably an ENT specialist should take a look at his nose to find out the exact reason. According to the findings appropriate treatment will be advised. A minor procedure or probably a few nasal drops might be all that's needed. Talk to your husband directly about this. Hope I answered your query satisfactorily. Thank you.
