How To Treat Wrist Pain Caused Due To Injury?

Hey about two weeks ago I hurt my wrist playing basketball and couldn t push on it so I went to the emergency room the next day. They just told me it was a sprain but didn t say anything else and released me. I can move it around but I still cant apply pressure such as pushing myself up off of things or trying to workout. May you please help me because I really want to workout with the bench press again.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a wrist sprain.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
I also suggest to use cold compresses for local application.
I recommend to maintain the wrist with a brace to prevent further damage.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
