Hi,
Welcome to HCM!

I understand your problem. First of all, I'd like to reassure you not to worry as this is a commonly experienced problem.

You need to visit your treating doctor and get the area thoroughly cleaned. Any infected tissue must be removed and then the wound has to be properly dressed. The pus formed has to be drained out.

Also, you need to start an oral antibiotic course to ward off infection.

Keep the area clean and dry.

It will take few days for the new skin to grow and cover the defect.

Hope this information helps. Feel free to ask if you have any doubt.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
With warm regards,
Dr. Sridhar Reddy
