Hello,

It looks like you have seborrheic dermatitis which is causing scaly patches & dry skin.

It may be due to sensitivity to some hair products you have been using or due to a specific fungus that lives in the scalp.

Dandruff causes itching, scratching may result in hair loss but not complete baldness.

Shampoo your hair with Selsun shampoo (selenium sulfide) or shampoo containing Ketoconazole.

Do not keep your hair or scalp dry after shampoo, apply coconut oil, you can also apply oil or moisturizer that contains Aloe Vera.

Take food that is rich in calcium, iron & protein. Take probiotics & omega 3 fatty acid containing food, vitamin supplements. Take a course of oral antifungals.

Reduce your stress levels & stop using hair products, sprays, gels, etc. Take healthy, homemade food.

To help hair growth & to prevent hair fall you can take Finasteride (Propecia) oral pills. Get examined by a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
