How To Wean Off Thyroid Medication Slowly Without Any Side Effects? 

I am wanting to stop my thyroid medicine. I don t really feel like I need it anymore. I am 55 and started taking it about 2 years ago when I started going through menopause. Is there any side effects when going off of it? I am taking the lowest dosage there is.

I am Dr.Bruno. I have read your question with care and understand that you want to wean off and subsequently stop your thyroid medicines.

I would recommend you to kindly get a Thyroid Function Test (T3, T4, TSH) done now and base your decision to wean off or stop the Thyroid medication based on that instead of stopping without doing blood tests
