General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern. valdoxan contains agomelatine which is used in treatment of major depression. i would like to know the reason for its prescription. agomelatine is a drug which is relatively safer and doesnt produce dependance when compared to the other drugs used in depressive disorders.
no dose adjustment is required to stop.
but i would not advise to stop the drug without an appointment with your psychiatrist who would be able to assess you better. hope you are satisfied with the response. thanks for choosing HCM
