How To Withdraw From Carbamazepine?
Hi, Yes, Carbamazepine can cause low sodium. However it should not be stopped abruptly. You should gradually taper the dose and stop it in 1 to 2 weeks. There are other medications that can help your pain. Your neurologist may better advise about this. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
