Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I can understand your concern for your wife. You have not mentioned why your wife started on Oxycodone! It belongs to opiate group of medicines which has high abuse potential. It is usually given when other pain killers don't work. It has addiction property also so may because of that your wife is taking 3 to 5 pills at a time. I suggest you to ask your doctor the need for Oxycodone and stop it after reducing dose gradually.

All the best.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prashant Gohil
