How urgent is it to get treatment for SSHL within the 72 hour window I keep reading about?? It has been 27 hours for me. I spent 8 hours in the ER and they flushed the ear did a CT & blood panel and found nothing. Referred me to my PCP who was not in office which is why I went to ER. Of course this happens on a weekend when I can't find and ENT or help other than what I have already done. I'm very concerned about missing the "Golden hour"
