Huge Lump On The Buttocks. Painful To Sit. Fever And Nausea. Why?

I have a huge lump on the inner side of my right butt cheek for the past 4 days. It's very painful I can't sit or lay onu back and sometimes I can barely walk it hurts so bad. I've had this 3 times and it keeps coming back. This time I actually got a fever and feeling like I was going to vomit. What is this?? What should I do??

Hello,

It may be Perineal abscess and the rate of recurrence is high. The area gets infected repeatedly due to anatomical reasons.
Fever is the sure sign of infection.
NSAID's and course of antibiotic based on the culture and sensitivity report of the pus.
Maintain good perineal hygiene.
You should undergo incision and drainage of the pus to relieve you from the pain.
