Hyper Prolectin, On Aspen Bromocriptine. Irregular Heavy Periods, Advised Nordette, Trying To Conceive. Suggestions ?
hi. i m 25 yrs old married. i got hyper prolectin. my doctor put me on aspen bromocriptine . and my periods are irregular. like i got my period on22nd of may till 16 june after that i got my period on25th of july till 22nd of august. not heavy but just two three drops every day. from 8th fo august till 14 th of august i bleed heavy. after tha just little little. and now my doctor told me to start nordette. but i searched its birthcontrol pills . i m very depreat for the baby. i m very confused . plz give me suggestion . it can help me.

Nordette is oral contraceptive pill. Your doctor has prescribed it to you to regularize your periods.
It is not possible to conceive while taking Nordette regularly.
Your problem of infertility and irregular periods are due to high Prolactin level.
Bromocriptine was prescribed to you to treat high Prolactin level. You have not mentioned your Prolactin level before and after treatment with Bromocriptine. If your prolactin level have not become normal with Bromocriptine, your doctor should search for other causes of high prolactin level like medicines, hypothyroidism and PCOD.
Once Prolactin level becomes normal, your ovulation will start and you will be in a position to conceive.

Hyperprolactenimea usually causes ammenorhea ie absence of menses, female infertility, it may also cause milk secretion galactorhea even in non pregnant women.
Bromocriptine is usually given as a treatment for this.
Now Nordette is a birth control pill but it is also given to regularize menses.
Since you are having long duration of menses it is difficult to identify the ovulation day for conception.
Once after some months when your menses are regulated it is easier to concieve.
When you are found pregnant when having these drugs you need to consult your Gync for stopping this drugs immediately as it may be harmful for the baby.
