I was diagnosed with hypo-thyroidism at the age of 24, ia m now 45 and still on thyroid replacement therapy , I understand I have to take this medicine the rest of my life. My last tsh test though, has me concerned because my tsh level tested at 182 and I know that is off the charts, my family doctor didnt seem too concerned, but I dont know that I feel confortable with his stance on the disease . Thank you.
This reading of TSH is definitely much high.If your T3 and/or T4 levels are on lower side, then you need to increase the dose of your replacement therapy & it has to be titrated further after 6 months or so depending on your readings of T3,T4,TSH.
