I Had A Miscarriage And Cervical Stenosis, How Can I Conceive?
Hi Please can you help or offer advice? Last may I suffered a silent miscarriage at 11 weeks and nobody has ever explained the results of the pathology tests to me. Then in August had an abnormal smear an was send to the colposcopy clinic, the doctor there decided to do a Loop Excision to remove the abnormal cells and in September I received a letter telling me that the results were fine but to repeat my smear in 6 months. Since then my periods have been very irregular and my latest I have had bad lower backache. My worry is the LEEP procedure and the possibility of Cervical Stenosis (this wasnt explained to me at the time but I had read a story about it). My body doesnt heal well from scars, I had my appendix removed 2.5 years ago by keyhole and my belly button scar is still very red and angry looking, 1 year ago I had a vacuum biopsy and was told there would be no scarring yet I have a hard raised scar, I have a keloid scar on the back of my shoulder that has been there 11+ years and just keeps getting bigger. Besides all this I am now worrying about cervical stenosis, my partner and I are trying for a baby without any luck and I wondered if it was worth getting this checked out or wait until my smear is due? Please help xxxx
hi healthcare magic user, cervical stenosis is one of the complications after LEEP procedure. first you should wait for PAP smear report it will take hardly 3-4days. in the meantime please do fasting and 2hrs post lunch blood sugar, TSH, Thyroid antibodies, thrombophilia profile that is blood coagulation tests to know cause of previous abortion.you May need cervical dilatation if stenosis is present before planning for pregnancy.
