I Z-pak The Cause For Blood And Mucus Drainage During Bowel Movement?
I was prescribe a z-pak three weeks ago for cold with coughing; I had some stomach upset/diarrhea with this, but it went away within a week. Then two weeks later I had bright red blood and lots of mucus after bowel movement. During that week, this occurred three times. Do you think it is related to antibiotic use?

This might be related to the antibiotic use since bloody diarrhea can be a sign of a C difficile infection
You need to let your doctor know about this and get a stool sample for cultures sent to the lab
