Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I a 65 years old and work everyday. Don't take sick days or vacation time. I have a very high stess job with a lot of deadlines and fines can be involved if errors are made. My Dr. recently started tyring to cut almost all of my prescriptions i half saying that I am getting older. He has not known me that long but is aware of why I take the medications I take. I try to go along with him but recently became very sick over reduction of a medicine I have taken for over 25 years. I had 2 1/2 feet of my large intestine removed and have hypermotility and just want to be able to function as normally as possible. I don't drink coffee or alchol. I was very nauseous and had stomach pain and a pounding headache. I fainted once from the pain. Once I started taking one of the pill 2-3 times a day I started to feel better. Also he cut some of my anziety drugs to only on workdays. I think that maybe he adjusted too many things at one time. Is this a normal procedure as patients age?
