I Am 45 Yr Old Male In Relative Good Health.

I am 45 yr old male in relative good health. I am on BP medication and cholesterol medication. BP runs around 115/75 and total cholesterol at last checkup in february was 135 mg/dL. Last week I did some shoveling for a few hours. Next day, had tenderness and pain in left leg. The calf in mainly affected, but pain starting to migrate into thigh and hip. It is worse now when I stand for a while and not as bad when sitting or walking. Sometimes pain can be quite intense, so wrapped with ace bandage which has helped somewhat. I am worried about DVT as I do have a job where I sit a lot, but I do get up often during day. As the pain is radiating into hip now, could I be suffering sciatica or strained muscle?
