I am 46. Had a mirena put in 2010. Periods stopped until approximately 3 months before the new mirena was inserted.

I had spotting, sometimes a light period sometimes within 3 months. Sometimes within 3 weeks There was no pattern.

Second mirena was placed may 2015 and the periods here and there continued along with spotting here and there.

I had a FSH and estradiol lab
FSH 134
Estradiol -15

2 months later, the same results
FSH 132
Estradiol -15

Was concerned about bleeding if I were to be post menopausal
Had a BX. It was negative. I removed the mirena at this time.

Soon after, I was found to have 2 simple ovarian cysts ( confirmed with MRI)


Of course I questioned all of this again with my post menopausal labs so I had
them run again.
Four weeks after the mirena was removed
FSH 4.9
Estradiol 86

My Gyn has no answers and I'm confused.

I don't know if I'm post menopausal and the spotting / periods ( ranging from 3 weeks to 3 months ) are abnormal or if I'm not menopausal?

I could use some advice.
