I Am 50 Years Old Male And I Have Long

I am 50 years old male and I have long history of problem with triglyceride, recently TGL rate is shooting up to 820 and HDL level is decreasing and LDL is slightly high than normal rate. I was using atrovastation 10 mg for last six weeks after that I went through blood check up and found that triglyceride level has reduced to 350 and LDL rate is less than minimum. Even though my doctor advised me to increase the dosage to 20 mg . Is it going to normalise my HDL/LDL/TGL through this treatment. How long I have to continue this treatment
