I Am 56 Years Old And Pinched A Nerve Behind

I am 56 years old and pinched a nerve behind my right shoulder about 5 years ago. Periodically it would come back and I can get it to come out but recently I injured it again by helping my disabled husband, lifting, etc. now it seems that it's traveled down my right arm and when I use it for a short period of time, left arm starts to tingle, similar to the feeling when your foot falls asleep. The only way to alieve this sensation is to raise my arm and the blood flow comes back. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
