I Am 57 Year Old Female And I Know I

I am 57 year old female and I know I may be experiencing menopause with the heat flashes but it actually feels like a deep core heat. Like a cars thermostat is stuck for a while then releases. I am so hot that my eye glasses fog up. Is this normal or could it be thyroid problems? Even in the winter time I have to run my ac unit in my bedroom to get relief. I can't even where a shirt when I sleep. I keep popsicles at work to help me cool down. This has been going on for over 10 years now. What can I do to help with this. I also experience fast heart rate at times.
