I Am 59 Years Old And 2 Weeks Ago Today

I am 59 years old and 2 weeks ago today I had a high impact injury causing a lateral tibial plateau fracture and a meniscus tear.My orthopedist said there is only 3mm displacement/depression? I have only one arm, and live by myself. Have failed back surgical syndrome after lumbar fusion of L1-Ll4. Non weight bearing in my situation is practically impossible and the hobbling around is making my back pain more unbearable than the knee pain. I'm scheduled for surgery to remove the torn portion of the meniscus in 5 days. What is the problem with weight bearing? My doctor doesn't seem to get my frustration and just tells me what to do and not how I'm suppose to do it. I seem to get around just fine, weight bearing, even with the pain. Thanks for addressing my concern. Donna. PLEASE: If there is a charge for this consult, please do not respond as I'm on disability and a very low fixed income.
