I Am 62 Yrs Old And Diagnosed With A Meningioma

I am 62 yrs old and diagnosed with a Meningioma for which I had surgery last December, since, I've had q12 week interval MRI's with anesthesia due to severe clastrophobia and anxiety attacks. Tomorrow I am scheduled again to evaluate whether we are seeing scar tissue or re-growth of the Meningioma. I have had an extreme amount of stress in my personal life and have experienced many panic attacks in recent weeks. I am currently taking 0.5mg Xanax BID to TID PRN. I know not to take one in the morning before the MRI because I will be receiving Propofol from the anesthesiologist. This will be my 8th one this year. I am very frightened as to whether I will be able to use the Xanax tomorrow after the MRI. I will have anxiety, I am already preparing by useing my deep breathing techniques, and relaxation techniques just to get to the hospital and I know I always feel anxiety when I am released on the ride home. How many hours will the propofol stay in my body and will it be safe for me to resume the xanax once the MRI is over and I am awake and released. It's going to be a long weekend waiting for results to see if I will need brain surgery again. I don't think my surgeon or family realize this is like torture to me.
