I am 70, good health, etc. I have serious [recurring/strong], itching in only certain areas of my body. These include the front left shin--below knee to ankle, the broad top areas [only], of both feet, and the side/rear quarters of the back---to help clearly identify: from horizontally about just past the 90 degree position [2-3" below both armpits], around to the back stopping where it flattens out to the actual back. Vertically, the severe itch starts 2-3" below the arm/armpit, down to 2-3" above the waistline. The itch is continual & strong, and it 24/7. It does not change, in area or intensity, and unaffected by diet, temperature, clothing, laundry, or any thing else I have tried. I have talked to 2-3 MDs about this, and been told "dry skin". But it is so specifically localized/unchanging/etc. If I use afterbath mosturizers/lamisil/baby oil, it seems to [somewhat], alleviate it, but comes right back when I stop using them. The unvarying location[s] is what makes me nervous. Although I have mildly dry skin to begin with, and am only very very mildly itchy [don't notice it till I scratch----this tends to be intense enough to wake me from sleep occasionally], everywhere else. This only started about 2-3 years ago, and seems to get worse in winter [dry---live in So-Cal Mountains--snow].
Anything else you need to know, ask and I will respond promptly. I do want to get to the bottom of this. Thank you in advance for you time & consideration to this matter.
Sincerely,
