Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 75 and have been taking Delestrogen 20 mg. (presently) or oral HRT since I was 30 when I had a TAH/BSO. Since oral forms of HRT proved on testing that my body was seriously lacking in hormone levels for my age (40's), I began a prescribed regimen of pellet implants q 6 mos. for some years and then began a prescribed regimen of IM Delestrogen in my 50's. My current Gynecologist seems to "let" me make my own decisions (we have worked together for decades). I tried "weaning off" taking 15 mg. instead of 30 mg. a few months ago and that resulted in positive "night sweats" for that month. I understand that all women are different. What should I do that is best for my body at my age?
