I am 78 years young as of Nov. 2014 ..I developed a droopy eyelid last 1/2014 and neigbor noticed before I was aware of problem. Had my second cataract surgery with no problem early April 2014. In Sept. of this year I began to experience double vision while watching TV and reading in late evening. I could read the newspaper OK in morning and it depended on moving my head around on TV to get better vision.. My Dr's all were in Houston TX as I was spending a few months with my sister. Her 0ptomologist saw me immediately and had tests..everthing lined up fine from surgery and distance is great also. I could cover one eye and not see double and cover the other eye and not see double; monocular dipolia was the outcome. He suggested getting an MRI ASAP. I am very well pleased with St Joseph DRs in Bryan/College Station TX(Home of Texas A&M). MRI was fine. My double vision cleared up and prayed that was the end of it. In early 0ct. I experienced double vision, not as severe but had to cover one eye by late evenig to read and tilt my head quite often for TV. When I saw the Neurologist, I did not have double vision. I called to let him know and I am on medication, pyridostigmine 60mg 2 times a day and double vision has greatly improved in the 3 days I have been on medication. I can drive now without a patch...Glory to God..hope this works. I tried to find comments on this medication but have been uncessful...would apprecate your comment...I do have COPD and have problems especially during the smogy days in Houston and change of seasons, under care of a Pulmonary Dr.
