Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 42 year old male. I recently had a psa of 27 with a high wbc and elevated cpr. A diagnosis of prostatis was made my gp yhat refered be on to a infectious disease consultant who said that my work up was unremarkable and was confident i has no std. I now have to see a urologist. After the elevated psa its has since gone back down to 4 and then last week to 2.5. This was after a 21 day course of quolones cipro. Am i looking at a diagnosis of chronic bacterial prostatitis or could it be another type. I have all the prostatis symptoms. All this is new to me. I had a very risque sex life 18 months ago and the previous 10 years to that. I have had several std screens in last 18 months and all have been clear. I am wondering what uroligist will do when i neet him next week
