I am a 50 years old woman and I was on Spironolactone 100mg/day for many years for hormonal acne, extremely oily skin, some facial hair growth and male pattern hair thinning. I stopped using it in Dec. 2015, when I was diagnosed with Estrogen(+) and progesterone(+); Her2 neu (-) breast cancer of the right breast. I've had a bilateral mastectomy and am currently on 1mg/daily of Arimidex (Anastrozole). My acne and oily skin is progressively getting worse and the male pattern hair thinning seems to be returning. Is it safe to start taking Spironolactone again while on the Arimidex? Does it counteract what the Amrimdex is trying to do in my body?
