I Am A 52 Year Old Lady, Who Suffered A

I am a 52 year old lady, who suffered a cardiac event whilst taking my daily swim in the sea. I had a raised trop t, elevated white cell count ( diagnosed as pneumonia) then had an angiogram which was uneventful, so was diagnosed with LVF, cardiomyopathy. Since leaving hospital I have had several episodes of feeling tightness around my chest, tiredness and coughing. I have been on heart medication for a couple of months and had these reduced just down to ramipril, but as I have been suffering from a cough for the last month or so after visiting my gp I am now on candesartan. I have had no post care advice about exercise or diet or lifestyle. I have no idea of any long term implications, and I have young children at home and still must work, and I'm not sure how this will effect my work life when I go back.I really would rather not take any medication at all if I'm honest. I find my doctor hard to talk to, and what I'm asking you is do you think I would be alright not taking anything if my heart has recovered. The cardiologist says he doesn't need to see me. My last MRI showed the left ventricle is recovering. I would rather take the alternative 'mild full' route if at all possible?or any other alternatives you may be able to advice? Thankyou very much, Trisha
