Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 62 year old male who stopped smoking 36 years ago, have no history of heart disease, have been within 10 pounds of the same weight I was in high school and walk three plus miles (on trails) five days per week. I recently received fasting blood work results that show my insulin resistance score as 61. I had been fasting prior to this test. There is no known history of heart disease (possibly my father but he left we I was three with no ongoing contact). What, if anything should I do different or be concerned about at this time?
