Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 67 year old male. I have discolored soles on my feet except for arches, a mildly reddish brown appearance. I experience some tingling. They feel like they are coated with dried elmers glue. I had back surgery last December for a ruptured disc and hip replacement in April. The back surgeon said I had other discs at risk. This tingling feeling began when I started physical therapy in June for the hip replacement. While I have medically controlled diabetes, my PCP says I have not had it nearly long enough to be related, but rather that it is caused by other disc/spine problems. While he examined my spine, he did not look at my feet. Does this sound reasonable? Should I see someone else?
