Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 72 year old male with hip problems. I had to resign from my job as a delivery driver for a major paint store: Sherwin-Williams. Lifting and twisting while handling the 55-60 lb. buckets of paint just became too painful. Prior to my resigning, I received the injections into my hip which worked great for the first 72 hours but then it was back to the original pain. I tried some pain meds (Tramadol) but they didn't seem to help and actually may have caused the nausea I experienced. My blood pressure was 195/something the next day. As much as I hate the thought, I am considering hip replacement. I'm on social security and my wife works fulltime. The surgery would definitely put us into a financial bind although my wife is in favor of it.
