I am a 73 year old female and have had increasing joint pain in my right hip and right knee with muscle pain in the thigh causing difficulty walking, standing and climbing and stiffness when sitting in one position for any length of time. I already know I have hypothyroidism, rheumatoid arthritis and osteopenia. I am concerned that there is some type of neuropathy involved. Should I contact my rheumatologist or primary care physician and would you consider the matter of an urgent nature?
