I am a type I diabetic. I have a six month old daughter. I had a very rough pregnancy and am still having many problems with my menstrual cycle. My gynecologist told me I am not able to a have a tubal ligation because I am only 24 years old. She stated I need a mirena to correct my hormone levels. I have a lot of symptoms and sickness every month when I get my period. She said that I will not be able to have a tubal until I am at least 30. Is this standard across the board or just her opinion?
