I am about to start a biologic for asthma--Nucala--and they recommend a shingles vaccine before I start the injections, since Nucala can possibly cause shingles. Over the past 7 or 8 years, I've been put on Prednisone for asthma exacerbations 4 or 5 times a years. The info I've read says people with lowered immune system should not get the shingles vaccine. Am I in that category? I'm not on Prednisone right now, but I just got off it about 3 weeks ago.
