Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am an 18 year old male and for about the past two months have seen small flat pink spots on my penis shaft. They are all relatively around the same size which is about 2-3 millimeters in diameter and have a slightly shiny appearance. I have not had any itching or other symptoms associated with them. I went to my doctor around a month ago and he was uncertain of what they were and suggested that i stop using a soap I was using and apply hydrocortisone but they have stayed relatively the same. They look more towards a reddish color at times but tend to be pink. There are around 8 of these small spots that are all relatively in the same area but don't have the clustering appearance of HPV or HSV. I have only had sex with one person which was a year and a half ago but I am less concerned of it being an STD since she regularly visits a doctor and has been tested for STDs and she has not been told by any of her other partners that they have had any issues. The only other possibility I think could be causing it is laundry detergent. What could be causing this and how could I cure it?
