I Am An Adult Protective Services Investigator And Have Run
I am an Adult Protective Services investigator and have run into an investigation involving a tracheotomy and trach tube but am unaware of care needed to maintain the tube properly. When should a tube be changed? How many tubes are used on average in one day? How often should suctioning occur? Is it possible if someone lives with a long hair cat to get a hairball in their trach tube if it is being properly suctioned and changed every day?
Any information you can provide would be helpful. Thank you.
