I Am Currently On Crestor For My Cholesterol. I Can't

I am currently on Crestor for my cholesterol. I can't take any statins because of the awful muscle and joint pain is causes me. Is Crestor a statin also? I noticed especially the past 2 weeks that my body hurts so badly that it wakes me up at night. I am on Morphine and Diluadid for pain from my herniated discs in my neck and the pain goes down the right side of my neck mostly and down the rest of the right side of my back. I have been on both of these medications for about a year now and also the Crestor. I thought it was the pain meds causing the pain in my joints and muscles but now I an wondering if it's the Crestor. Is Crestor a statin also?
