I am dark skin, but my hands, fingers, neck, chest, and stomach have lightened up about 3 shades. I have white spots on my arms, chest, stomach, back, legs, thighs, buttocks, feet, nipples, and a few on my hands, lips, and under my eyes. Some of the spots are pink. I have been recently diagnosed with Rhematoid arthritis, which I am currently taking 15 mg of methotrexate and 5 mg of prednisone. I also have diagnoses of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), B-12 and Pernicious iron deficiencies, and alopecia areata. Another important aspect of my health is that I have been nutrition deficient due to Gastric By-pass Surgery 4.5 years ago, which I had some serious complications and ended up in the hospital 35 days plus. I have to take Vitamin D supplements, Thiamine, Potassium, Iron, Calcium, vitamin C, B-12 shots, and a multivitamin for the rest of my life. My Rheumatologist and another of her colleagues told me I have vitiligo as well as my former Internal Medicine doctor. About 1.5 years ago, my internal medicine doctor sent me to see the Dermatologist, he said it was not vitiligo, but "inside-out" freckles! He did not take any tests not did he use a Wood's lamp or even spend more than 3-4 minutes in the exam with me. Since then I have gotten a lot more so called "white freckles" on other parts of my body!! I do have a consultation with a dermatologist, but not until February 20, 2017. So, my question is: Do you think I have Vitiligo or what, especially since I have 3 autoimmune diseases? I am so desperate to know what is going on..... I forgot I started graying in my early 30s and my hair is resistant to dye. Thanks. I do not have pictures. I do not know how to upload yet as I am not modern yer.
