Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am going to my PCP on Monday...this pain (more discomfort) I am having is on my right side right near my last rib (somewhat wraps around to my back)...I had my gall bladder out 3 yrs ago and it almost simulates a gall bladder attack? Which can't be bc I have no gall bladder. It is tender to touch that rib area (was even before the gall bladder was taken out). No fever, does not look swollen, etc. Just wondering what it may be...I know my labs from my last exam showed a slight elevation in the liver (I am not a drinker) so I was wondering if the liver can inflame? Because it almost feels like it is pushing on the rib? Or can scar tissue become irritated/inflamed? Apparently the surgeon noticed a lot of scar tissue/adhesions from gall bladder attacks and was removed. Any thoughts?
