Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having a tooth extracted on Monday. This is the first time I have gone to this dentist. He asked If I was allergic to Amoxicillan and I said no because I really didn't know. However I had C-difficol after my gall bladder surgery and I was told it was from too much anti-biotics and only take Penicillan from now on. I had a knee replacement 6 years ago and so now I have to take 4 Amoxicillan one hour before treatment. The last time I did that was three years ago and two days later my face was real red and was very painful to touch and very swollen. Went to my family dr and he said I had facial cellulitis and treated me for that. I never thought that it possibly could be from too much Amoxicillan. Is that possible. I don't want this dr to run into troubles because he isn't aware of things.
