Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having arm pain after an accident about 7 hours ago. I slipped on a wet ramp due to rain and my first response was to try to grasp the rails its my right arm. Instead of grabbing the rail, the outside of my lower right arm, about 2 inches above my wrist, hit the metal rail very hard. At first it hurt some but nothing too bad. About an hour later it was throbbing and the pain was about 8 out of 10. I iced it and took NSAIDs and it felt better but they have worn off and the pain is still there. Not as bad but I wanted to see what I should do-wait a few days or go ahead and get X-ray. I didn't want to wait if it sounds like I could have broken or fractured a bone that needs immediate attention. Thank you.
