ok so ive been having a headache everyday for the past week. It comes and goes and feels like a tension headace. I had two cat scans last month. One due to a fall and one for a headache I had. both came back clear. I also have anxiety and fear that I could have an unruptured aneurysm. the dr said if there was one the cat scan wuld have detected some type of evidence. Then another dr told me that cat scans do not pick them up. Im so confused and frightned. can anyone tell me? I also read on website that they do pick them up accidently on ct scans and others say they dont!!
HELP
CAT scans are done in PLAIN and CONTRAST mode. in plain the patient is just scanned like that and it is the preliminary screening and in contrast after the plain scan is been done they inject a contrast medicum into the veins and than they will scan. inthe plain type they will miss the aneurysm and in the contrast scan they will pick up the aneurysm
