I Am In A Long Distance Relationship With Someone Who

I am in a long distance relationship with someone who has been diagnosed bipolar. He is taking lithium. I find that it takes away the mania, but leaves him detached. He says he has lost all his desire for everything, except for playing computer games. He doesn't leave his apartment unless absolutely necessary. I have been traveling to visit him and have been staying for about two weeks at a time. Usually, I call him when I'm not with him because I have a long distance plan, but he has not responded to my calls in over a week. It's confusing. His disorder and the distance aren't ideal, but I can cope with those. It's not being able to communicate while we are apart that's most difficult. I feel shut out.
