hi I dont know what to do ? my boyfriends father has had 2 heart attacks one years ago and one last year, he has a pacemaker fitted. and tonight I got a call from his partner saying he was in hospital, he had a funny turn, they said they think his pacemaker is going too slow, they said theyd keep me informed (theyre at the hospital) but they think he s stable. my dilema is my boyfriend (who s dad it is) is away on a training course for his work and sits an exam tomorrow, do i tell him or keep it from til til 2moro. he comes home 2moro. PLEASE HELP ME! His partner and my mum said not to tell him as it would worry him and he couldnt do anything as he is miles away. thanks for all your advice, I feel sick and bad for not telling him, I am waiting for his dads partner to phone me to update me ? she said that she thinks they said he was stable, but that she d keep me informed. im just worrying making myself ill. if i know he s stable i will wait til 2moro. the waiting is awful oh i feel a bit better. an update they just rang me from hospital and i actually got to speak to his dad! he said he was ok, they were keeping him in for checks/observation but not to worry and he said not to tell his son/my boyfriend. so that makes me feel better. he is stable now, and we will go and see him tomorrow. thank you everyone.
First, chill out. Pacemaker adjustments are no big deal. They happen all the time. It's normal maintenance. All they do it monitor to see if it's a problem and if they need to adjust it, they put a magnet over it and adjust it. NO BIG DEAL. If you think it will bother your BF, wait til tomorrow, but if he'll understand that it's no biggie, tell him. You're making a mountain out of a molehill, really.
