Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am in the early stages of CML. My count is around 20,000. I am experiencing swelling and discomfort in my stomach and pain in my rib area, lower left back. The stomach and pain have both been severe enough to keep me up at night on occasion. These problems, I think, are showing themselves because of existing conditions. I have been taking generic Nexium for my stomach because of a deficiency of the enzyme that controls the valve at the bottom of the stomach. This led to the upper valve being worn and acid reflux. I also went untreated for high blood pressure for about 20 yrs and when I finally was treated they did a battery of test to reveal that I had accumulated damage to my organs including the spleen. These two conditions have been treated effectively for a number of years and the symptoms are new. In the case of my stomach they are different than what brought me to see a Doctor the first time and in the case of the pain it is totally new. Should I be concerned?
