I am interested in drug interactions and if any of my medications can cause any problems for me. I currently take simvastatin (NORFLEX): 10 mg, 1 time per day; gabapentin (NEURONTIN): 100 mg, 2 capsules every night at bedtime; metformin: 1000 mg daily; donepezil (ARICEPT): 10 mg every night at bedtime; meloxicam: 7.5 mg tablet; orphenadrine: 100 mg SR tablet (1 tablet - 2 times a day as needed for muscle spasms); levothyroxine: 125 mcg tablet (1 tablet daily); simvastatin (ZOCOR) 10 mg tablet daily; vitamin D3: cholecalciferol, 1000 unit tablet - 3 tablets, 1 time per day; omega-3 fatty acids (FISH OIL): 1000 mg capsule - 1 capsule 3 times per day; Ginko Biloga: 1 tablet 2 times per day; aspirin 81 mg enteric coated tablet: 1 tablet 1 time per day; cyanocobalamin (vitamin B-12) 1000 mcg tablet: 1 tablet 1 time per day; oxybytynin (DITROPAN-XL) 15 mg SR tablet (24 hour): 1 tablet daily; tolterodine (DETROL-LA) 4 mg capsule: 1 capsule 1 time per day. I interchange the oxybytynin and the tolterodine monthly as they tend to not work after a month has passed. By interchanging them, they are continuing to help stop leakage. These are all the medications I take other than acetaminophen, which I take for diabetic neropathy, headaches and body aches.
I would be interested to find out if, at my age (61) these medications are okay and if there are others that may be better (but not more expensive due to budget). I am also experience increased forgetfulness. My email address is YYYY@YYYY .
Thank you for any help you may have for me. Mary Buringrud
