Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am make and 44. I had two small cysts removed from the palm/near the side of my right hand on Monday which were trapping my ulnar nerve causing my little finger and the finger next to it to curl and unable to straighten and close together which resulted in a lot of pain. An MRI scan showed two small cysts which were removed. The dressing and stitches are to be removed in two weeks time and am in no pain as on prescription co-codamol tablets. The surgeon has told me I may not get full movement back which is fine, but as long as the cyst removal alleviates the pain, however, are there any exercises I should do to build up the small amount of muscle wastage that must have of cured over the past couple of months since I first started getting the pain in my hand? Thanks in advance. Simon. Portsmouth, England.
