I am post menopausal 68 y.o. who is getting at least one stubborn UTI per year. I've taken two courses of antibiotics in the last 6 weeks and it keeps coming back. I tried the CB before I went to the doctor and it didn't work. At emergency care the doctor found a little blood in my Urine and he prescribed the first antibiotic. It didn't work. So I went to to a urologist who also found a little blood and gave me anothr antibiotic. It helped a little but not very long. She did a cystoscopy and didn't find a tumor, but did state a lot of inflamation. I have another appt in Mar, and started taking D-Mannos (a sugar) and it seemed to help at first but only for a few hours. I have less frequencfy, but still have burning. I eat a very healthy whole foods diet but do drink 3-4 cups of coffee in the morning and have one or two glasses of wine in the evening. I don't drink soda, juice or eat junck food. I am not diabetic but most of my sibling are. My A1C is good, last fasting glucose was 96. I eat very little sugar (all my life), because it raises my triglicerides and keeps me from sleeping.
