I am presently taking Adderall 30mg daily. I am a 45 yr old male and recently had my first annual physical. I passed my physical with flying colors except for my platelet count was low. I have had 2 blood tests now and both times my platelets have been low. They want me to come back in a couple of months to retest again to see if anything has changed. I read on http://www.ehealthme.com/ds/adderall/low+platelet+count/ that it could possible cause this. Out of 12K of people approx. 46 people had same symptoms. I am thinking about stopping the medication for the summer to see if platelets go back up. I am a teacher so will be off during the summertime. What would be your suggestion?
