Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am seeking IUI treatment to have a child. I went in on July 13th (15th day of cycle) to have U/S. The follicle was 18. I went back in on July 14th and follicle was 19. I received a trigger injection. I came back on Sunday, July 15th and follicle was still there. (I have done IUI's in the past - in 2016 I did 2 and on my 2nd - I received my BFP and have a daughter as a result.) In the past, the follicle has always disappeared by the following day. The dr. did the insemination on Sunday and told me to come back. I came back on Monday and the follicle was still there. She said it may have filled with fluid. She did another insemination. She then took a blood test to see if I ovulated. She called me later that day and said I did ovulate. Is this possible or did I just waste time and money on two inseminations? Thank you
